Corporations have co-opted Juneteenth as they have with other cultural celebrations. Many do not see the issue with Juneteenth shirts and party accessories. On the surface, it seems innocent, but if you follow the iceberg down, it's a short leap from glib sayings to the dismissal of the cultural significance of Juneteenth.
